Beat*Shot Radio Takeover airs live on beatshotradio.com every Tuesday night at 9PM EST. Discussion topics include:

★Special Guests!: Capital Area Against Mass Incarceration members Ariela and Clyanna discuss the January 25th rally for Dontay Ivy and the upcoming CAAMI delegation to Cuba.
★Flint Stoned: We take a closer look at what’s really going on with the water in Michigan, and why this man-made emergency could impact the state and country for years to come.
★Oscars So Whack: Surprise! The Oscars are White again, but the Black community seems somewhat split on if it’s even worth addressing. We address it anyway.
★Child Support: A fake article about restrictions on child support purchases went viral this month and stirred controversy. We discuss if recipients of child support should be limited in what they can and can’t spend support funds on?
★Edible Arrangements: Tweet your favorite food themed songs to @BeatShotRadio with the hashtag #FoodTunes (Examples: “Milkshake” by Kelis, “Ham ‘N’ Eggs” by A Tribe Called Quest, etc).
★Squatter’s Rights: For every homeless American there are 6 empty/abandoned/unoccupied homes. We examine the plausibility of “mass adverse possession” (i.e. everyone just taking over vacant houses and turning them into homes).
★Neo-Nepotism: People who have “stuff”—whether it’s information, resources, access to jobs, money, etc—tend to only share said “stuff” with their immediate families and/or people that they relate to socially and culturally. We examine nepotism as an agent of oppression.
