Who needs to be induced?

- Medical: Mom or baby has a medical problem

- Baby: over due-date by 7 to 14 days

- Elective: Mom wants the baby to come now

How does induction of labor work?

- Based on the Bishop’s Score

-- Greater than 6 cervix: not very inducible

-- Less than 8 cervix: inducible
