Jim Schmitz is a bit of an unknown legend in the sport. You won't generally hear his name casually tossed around in conversations about the sport, but that shouldn't be the case. Jim has an unmatched track record and more time in the sport than nearly any other person in USAW.
Professionally, he's coached at three Olympic games, including coaching silver medalist, Mario Martinez. The list of achievements goes on and on, but the most impressive part of his resume is his continued involvement in the sport. He first found weightlifting in 1964 and hasn't turned back since.
In this episode, we talk all about Jim and his background in the sport. It's one you don't want to miss.
