- There's a study by Emmons and McCullough; it's "Counting Blessings VS. Burdens." This study shows that gratefulness has great physical benefits.
- One is having a gratitude journal. Writing things down in bullet points about something you're grateful for triggers that feeling of gratefulness. It helps build the momentum of thinking about other things you're thankful for, no matter how small they are.
- Make a cookie jar; a gratitude folder. Take screenshots of nice things people said about you or something that you want to celebrate. Then put them in one folder that you see often. So if you're having a bad day or you're feeling down, look at it so it can help you ignite the feeling of gratitude.
- It helps you see how far we've come. It reminds you how much you have grown in the past years. It also allows you to have that skill of reflecting and learning how to look back that will help you make better decisions moving forward.
