R.M. says her desire to be a better mother to 3 children adopted out of foster care inspired her to carve out a little bit of time a few times a week to capture events, evaluate responses, and celebrate victories.

Today, R.M.’s journaling practice is geared around Limiting herself to just one page - about something that’s happened in the last 24 hours surrounding her children and evaluating what went right, what went wrong, and how to respond better the next time.

R.M. says within the first day or so of this new journaling practice, she knew she would keep going, even when time constraints would preclude her from writing every day.
