All around the world, we see headlines and petitions that animals need to be treated in a more humane way. There seems to be endless scenarios of trying to 'put out the fires.' It's great to see groups of people come together for this purpose. One important factor to consider that would positively influence the future in this area is educating children on animal compassion and helping them be more aware. This approach may not have a significant impact in our immediate situations but over time, it is the generation of children and young adults that will make our future decisions.

Carol Novello is an author and founder of Mutual Rescue, a national initiative that highlights the connection between people and pets in order to inspire and support life-saving efforts in communities across the nation and world. The second guest is Marla Stahl, an animal lover and author, who’s dedicated herself to combatting animal abuse and homelessness in the U.S.
