We’re taking a closer look at a day in the life of a paramedic in our first episode of Series 11. Maybe the picture that springs to mind when you hear the word ‘paramedic’ is of an ambulance driving past you with its siren blaring. Or perhaps they might be people that you come across from time to time as they hand over unwell patients in the Emergency Department. But what do paramedics do? What does their typical day look like? How many older patients do they come into contact with? Are there any non-ambulance opportunities for them? And what exactly is it that they love about the job?

Also, join us as we pick up Jean’s story once again and think through how a paramedic might help her as she is assessed in a pre-hospital setting and begins her journey into the healthcare system. We have a new MDTeaser for you to tackle, as well as a shout-out for our favourite social media posts of the week. So lots for you to enjoy!

It’s brilliant to have you listening in, and if you’d like to find out more about what we do… you can find us on Twitter @mdtea_podcast, on Instagram @mdteapodcast, online at mdteapodcast.co.uk or you can send us a good old-fashioned email to thehearingaidpodcasts@gmail.com. Thanks for your company and we look forward to picking up Jean’s story again with you in two weeks!
