Sana calls up Tokata Iron Eyes, a 16-year-old leader within her indigenous community. From an early age, Tokata has stood up for Lakota land and worked to amplify her community’s history and legacy. Speaking over the phone from the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota, Tokata reflects on the power of storytelling and why she’s so passionate about empowering other young people in her community.
