The Atlanta Art scene is one of the freshest in the country and the city has provided some amazing spots for artists to showcase their work. Thanks to developments like the beltline and the west end, so many talented artists are now in the spotlight all around town. And Eric Nine is right in the middle of it. This independent artist is quickly becoming a regular fixture with work popping up all over the city. His distinctive style standouts in Castleberry and towers over Boulevard next to the Zoo. The newest resident artist of the Skylark in East Atlanta, He is also using his medium to stand up for change and make an impact. From working with the king of pops to the king of trap, Eric Nine’s talent cannot be ignored.

I was excited to interview Eric so we could explore the artist's lifestyle and the freedom this visual expression brings. Sharing your voice on such a grand scale is a privilege few of us enjoy. The challenges this freedom brings… I often ask my guests, if they had a billboard for all the world to see, what would they put on it? Well, Eric has just completed a 5-story mural of exactly that, wait until you see it….
