In this week's interview, I get to chat with my favorite vocalists of all time Kanene Pipkin. Kanene is one of the three lead vocalists for one of the greatest bands in history, "The Lone Bellow." Kanene and I discuss her life prior to "The Bellow," including meeting her husband at a spelling bee, studying linguistics in college, study abroad, traveling to China to date her bass teacher, and moving to New York, where she trained to be a professional pastry chef. We also discuss the dedication of training that Kanene has endured to craft her incredible vocal range, her inspiration for "Just Enough To Get By," and the damage that "shame" can cause to multiple generations, and a million ways to write a song. In this week's wrap-up, Crystal and I discuss Steven Spielberg's, "Hook," the last 15 minutes of Dead Poet's society, and some envy that I may or may not have for Jason and Kanene's lives. Please enjoy my conversation with an incredibly kind, intelligent, and talented singer Mrs. Kanene Pipkin.
