Grief and trauma come in many forms, certainly with the death of loved ones but also in many circumstances that extend well beyond that. Whether it is from a personal experience or a collective one, such as living through a global pandemic, the emotional signatures of grief and trauma have lasting effects that influence both the mind and the body.

Dr. Aimie Apigian is a Trauma, Attachment and Addiction Medicine Physician. She is an author, speaker and founder of Trauma Healing Accelerated, as well as Family Challenge Camps. Dr. Aimie specializes in trauma and attachment, specifically the way in which traumatic events become stored within the physical body, often leading to inflammation, digestive issues and disease. Dr. Aimie explains the mechanics of grief within the body and why it’s so important to address the body, mind and spirit when working to heal from traumatic events.
