On today’s show, we are joined by Dr. Corey Allan, a marriage Family Therapist, to discuss the issue of vulnerability in a marriage and how to navigate those "sensitive" topics that exist. Vulnerability allows closeness within a marriage and offers a unique opportunity for growth, because after all, marriage is intended for more than to just make us "happy".

What You'll Learn from This Episode:

  • What vulnerability is and its purpose in marriage
  • What prevents couples from being vulnerable with each other
  • Other forms of communication in marriage - ie. "the silent treatment" and whether they enhance or break down the marriage relationship
  • How gender and biological differences affect the way we interpret and assign "meanings"
