Kirstin Bouse is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with nearly 3 decades of experience.

Over the past 15 or so years, she’s found herself working with women as they navigate big transitions in their lives - motherhood, divorce and perimenopause.

Six years into her own perimenopause experience, along with a late-diagnosis of ADHD (after all 3 sons were diagnosed as teenagers and young adults - yep, she was late to the party for them too) and burnout, Kirstin became super frustrated by the lack of recognition of the significance of perimenopause and midlife in general. Let alone the double whammy of perimenopause and ADHD.

In this episode, we discuss:

- what exactly is ADHD?

- the differences in ADHD between the sexes

- the process of getting a diagnosis for ADHD

- why is it that women in perimenopause might start to question if they have ADHD?

- what support can one expect once they have an ADHD diganosis
