We Volunteered at an Animal Shelter. Here’s our Verdict!
Manage episode 383766607 series 3339406
Following up from our last episode, we popped into our local animal shelter over the last week to see what we could help with.
Fully prepared to walk dogs, clean sh*t and possibly do a bit of in-house admin, what we really wanted to figure out were 4 things:
1. How much interaction do we get with the animals? (selfish, I know. But you were thinking it too. We‘re in this for the rubs!)
2. Will volunteering for an hour give us this “helper’s high” we’ve heard about? Or will we just be happy from playing with dogs?
3. Does the time commitment actually add more stress to your life because you already have so little of it?
4. And the big one, as always; is this something we should bother doing consistently?
Along with answering all of those pressing questions, we’ve also got our routine part 2 segments, “The Dumbest Among Us” and “Yoo-Hoo, What Should I Do-Hoo?” to sh*te talk through.
So if you’re curious about what it’s like to volunteer at an animal shelter and also like a bit of irrelevant chat, listen in and let us know what you think!
Liked this episode or have a suggestion for something we should bother doing? We’d love your review!
