This week we sit down with Lynne Eichenbaum, the creator and owner of Garden Sleeves by NOMPI Glove Co. Lynne began her creative journey in the television industry where she worked on the set of numerous daytime talk shows, including "The View." After leaving television and becoming a stay at home, Lynne decided to dive into another project and wrote ten chapter books in a series for children based on her experience working on the set of talk show television. As life moved on, so did Lynne's desire to create more. As an avid gardener, she came down with poison ivy one day while gardening, and, as a result, Garden Sleeves came into existence.
In this episode, we talk about the gloves, how they came about, evolved, and where you can find them. We talk about some obstacles Lynne had to overcome early on in her business, specifically, getting the name right and whether or not getting a patent was necessary. She offers some great advice on being open to feedback, joining networking communities, and researching your product to ensure there is a need in the market.
Finally, we wrap up with Lynne discussing what success means to her. She mentions having a sense of fulfillment and owning what you are doing. She reminds us that we should be fearless and live with passion.
