Janice Goldmintz guided both of her parents through Alzheimers. In this episode, she talks about the emotional challenges of dealing with aging parents, what she wished she knew, and how she hopes to help others. She is a published author and presenter on aging and generational transition challenges. After navigating both her parents through Alzeihmer’s disease, she created Talk About Aging, a company focused on providing education and coaching to their clients to achieve the "highest quality of life, any age, any stage.". Janice has articles published on various issues, including: Caregiver Stress; Drug Misuse in the Elderly; Older Mother-Older Daughter Relationships and Healthy Eating for Older Adults. Her new book, "Getting Older, But Not Old", covers a range of topics relevant to successful aging. She has appeared on television and radio, as an expert on the issues facing today's "sandwich generation."
