After losing their 12-year-old son Connor in 2009, Ron Deal and his wife Nan faced a crushing heartache. As their life began recalibrating to this unwanted new normal, they looked for ways to move through their grief.

Friends connected the Deals with Touch A Life Kids – an organization that rescues child trafficking survivors. Partnering with Touch A Life Kids, Ron and his wife opened the Connor Creative Arts Center. Through art therapy and lessons children who have endured extreme trauma can find ways to process and express themselves.
