Hey there and welcome to that independent streak, I’m your host Wendy Campbell. You are in the right place if, like me, you enjoy great storytellers, you love the people who give you new insight into this experience we’re all living in. Our general focus here started around health, wellness, and travel, but I find the more conversations we have, the more it’s also about leadership and finding truth and evolving the shared experience we all have.

Let it be said that studio makeup can be an important choice. After a few weeks of battling illness in the house I’m finally coming back to this fun conversation. My guest today is a great friend, a mentor, my boss, Paul and his wife Carol are great family friends, and currently in Africa fulfilling a mission promise with the LDS church. While I am not a member, I do find other faiths and their practice extremely interesting, and I feel it’s in all of our interests to take some time to learn about each other and just how much we have in common.

Paul and his wife Carol left for Africa last summer, and we discussed having them on as soon as we knew they’d be going on this mission. We initially recorded a podcast with Carol in October, but the recording gremlins stole my recording and so we had to shift gears and rerecord in November.

This one is great fun, where we discuss a little politics, a little government, a lot about helping people and so much more.

I knew I wanted to do a podcast to talk about the things they’re seeing and experiencing in a hope to gain some insight into what Africa is like from their unique vantage point. While we could have easily spoken for much longer, I do hope to reconnect with Paul deeper into his mission.

If you enjoy the podcast, it would mean so much if you could like, or subscribe, sharing is an amazing gift too.

Next year, we’re going to be diving deeper in with hopes of doubling the number of conversations each month. I don’t want you to miss any of them.
