If you are a person who avoids picking up the phone even though it is necessary for client acquisition and revenue generation efforts, ask yourself, ‘What’s the worst thing that can happen?’ Picking up the phone probably won’t kill you. Now, in contrast, try asking yourself, ‘What’s the best thing that could happen?’ THIS is the mindset that you should embody as you make your calls.

You are the one who determines the outcome of your experiences. If you can find it within you to KNOW that your experience will be completely positive, then there will be nothing to stop you from succeeding.

By embracing the truth about what could possibly be the worst thing to happen, you will realize how far-fetched such a notion of failure can be. Things might go wrong, but the odds of things going TOTALLY wrong are astronomical at best. To realize this, and to embrace the fact that you could live through failure and climb out of it if it happened, is a milestone in your life. All of a sudden, failure doesn’t seem so scary, because you realize that even failure ITSELF can’t really stop you unless you choose to give up… but you didn’t, and you won’t.

Tune in tomorrow for tip #2 to help you get things done when you might be afraid of failure.
