“I’ve come to think that all we really need to do as actors is to take care of our attitude... and to continue to have a growth mindset.”

— Manuela Sosa

Success is based on more than just raw talent — it takes a potent combination of skill, attitude, and mindset to push your career to the next level.

Manuela Sosa is a trilingual Venezuelan-American actor and performer who was raised in Canada and divides her time between NYC and Vancouver. She’s proving to be a leader in Vancouver’s emerging Latinx artistic community — and making a big impact through her work and her passion.

For Manuela, mindset is a key ingredient in the recipe of success, no matter what you’re doing.

“I think progress is perfect — any little bit that I’m improving,” Manuela explains. “I keep having to remind myself that ‘Hey, you’re doing great. You’re a human that’s living and hopefully spreading joy.’”

Tune in now and learn why the thriving Latinx artistic movement in Western Canada is so exciting, why you need to let go of FOMO, and why aspiring actors might want to check out food touring to pay the bills while they’re waiting for their break.

In‌ ‌this‌ ‌episode of the podcast,‌ ‌you’ll discover:‌ ‌

  • Why the pandemic pause was a relief to Manuela, in spite of its effect on the entertainment industry
  • How Manuela creates balance and harmony in her life, and why creating structure and having a growth mindset are key
