The Internet will tell you that there are new names for food colorings but it's wrong. There have been new names for food colorings for many years and you may need to be armed with knowing that these are the new words for artificial food colorings. Generally considered safe, these artificial food colorings are actually petroleum products that we put in our process food to make it look more appealing to the eye because we eat with our eyes first.
