Episode Takeaways Don't feel bad if you're not close to your mother and if you don't feel ready to try to be either. Try not to have prolonged conversations with your parents if you don't share the same view and they can't respect that. Remember that your feelings are valid, don't let anyone invalidate your feelings by telling you that you only get one mother they won't understand because they haven't been in the situation you have been. Stay off social media for that day and couple days after that you might realize feelings of shame will come up from not having that type of relationship with your mother.
