Hey loves Welcome to season 3 episode 10 of The Chinanna show podcast. In today's episode we discussed consent, what it means and how it affects us when the right to say yes is taken away. About Guest Our guest today is Leah who enthusiastically wanted to add her voice to the discussion She is good at writing, event design, baking, and crunching numbers, and she loves to engage in the topics of live music, feminism, food sustainability and psychedelics....all of which she believes support social wellness. Episode takeaways Consent is when all persons know what they are consenting a person cannot say yes when they are not self aware or they do not know what they are saying yes to. Realistically some parents try to have the Consent conversation but it's normally directed towards strangers when it's family members or those who are close that harm you in that kind of way. There are different froms of rape and violation it doesn't always have to be violent but it can come off as malicious such as sleathing ( where someone takes off a condom during sex and the other party is not aware). You can start teaching children about consent when they are old enough to interact and are going into public spaces You should be able to say no at any time without an explanation. These and may other points where discuss in this episode if you are interested check out the full episode for details Remember to share this with someone who this might be of value to.
