The Evil Dead franchise is a unique blend of horror and comedy that has captured the hearts of horror fans worldwide. The core elements of the franchise include the Necronomicon, chainsaws, shotguns, and evil spirits. Mixing horror and comedy is essential to making an Evil Dead movie, as it provides the necessary balance between tension and release. In this podcast, we explore different angles and themes that the franchise could explore to expand its world, take creative risks, and engage a wider audience. Whether it's by exploring motherhood and grief, combining film noir with Lovecraftian horror, or building a fully fleshed-out world, the Evil Dead franchise has the potential to become even more successful.

It's not just about expanding the world, but expanding it in successful layers until it becomes a fully fleshed out world like John Wick. The first movie was a simple and direct story, and by the fourth, they built an entire world with an organization. Similarly, they could use the time travel element from Army of Darkness to hop from different places and time periods. It's clear that Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have taken a step back, but whoever takes over creatively needs to take risks and build a world that keeps the audience engaged.
