Do you ever hold your breath when you are stressed?
The stress response is meant to be a brief interruption in our daily lives. It was never meant to be a chronic state of being. Interrupting the stress response is important in helping the Central Nervous System and the body rebalance themselves for optimal functioning and health. This simple exercise is one way to interrupt the body's stress response, and change your body's state so it can rebalance itself.
Conscious breathing is a great way to enhance calm and reduce stress. I invite you to try it!
