This exercise is the first in a series of body awareness exercises intended to help reconnect with your body's inner wisdom. Most of us have learned to discount our body's language. We focus on getting things done, we focus on doing and not 'be-ing'.
Body awareness is an important part of emotional intelligence that many of us neglect. In order to be fully present and aware, it is important for us to reconnect to our body and understand the important information it is providing at any given moment.
This exercise is best done at a a time and in a place where you can relax without concerns about distractions or interruptions taking you out of the exercise.
Be gentle and patient with yourself. This exercise gets easier and more profound with practice.
