Episode 21 -Piper Brinkley From Struggling to Supercharged.

Piper Brinkley is a lifelong fitness, health, and happiness advocate. Her passion has been learning the complexity and the miracle of the human body and exploring that through science, movement and art. Piper is a mother of a 5-year-old boy, John and is a small business owner of an IT services company.

Piper created the “Intermittent Fasting & Alcohol-Free Lifestyle Facebook group" where the theme is to increase wellness with intermittent fasting and find the joys of sobriety. “The combo makes you supercharged”, Piper tells us in this episode.

Her favourite pastimes are eating, moving, and reading for joy. Piper spends her time divided between Upstate South Carolina and the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina in the United States.

In this episode, Piper covers the following topics and gives us some great insights into living an intermittent fasting lifestyle;

  • The importance of listening to your body— Partner with your body, not work against it.
  • Pattern Evolution—Your body is not stagnant and your fasting shouldn’t be either. Tweaking is continuous. She has done 16:8 -ADF. Appetite is a signal for her as well. Piper tells us how to start with the least restrictive tweak and start there,
  • Discovering an intolerance to some foods led Piper to ADF —which she explains supercharged her fasting and, created clarity.
  • Quit One substance at a time!! Don’t trick out your tweaks!
  • Her fasting journey has produced some weight loss but more so great NSVs and health benefits. Piper has been in maintenance since 2017, but has continued to experience positive changes and continues to shrink in size.

News- my book, The Fasting Highway is due for release in the next 2-3 weeks. It is a story of transformation and motivation - one mans’ journey from morbid obesity to normality.
