On this episode of The Showrunner Whisperer (produced by Multiverse of Color,) we welcome STEVE YOCKEY as our latest guest as Andy Behbakht chats with him about how he joined the world of Hollywood as a screenwriter and exploring his personal journey in becoming a showrunner for the first time. Before landing the role as the showrunner for The Flight Attendant, and now his new series, Dead Boy Detectives, we explore Steve's origin story of how he first got into Hollywood and what crucial lessons he learned from his first TV gigs, including Supernatural, before entering into the role as showrunner for the first time. Steve also shares about dealing with the challenges of entering the world of showrunning during the COVID-19 pandemic, as he breaks down the creation of the Dead Boy Detectives TV show, while taking part of the larger Sandman universe, and what is next for him.
