Debbie is someone who understands what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. She talks to us in complete honesty and vulnerability about how she became convinced that God did not love her. The Lord took her on a journey to show her how much He really does love her, and now He uses Debbie and her family to show His love to hurting, broken people in a very real, and practical way. We talk about her mental breakdown that landed her in a Psych ward, we also talk about raising 5 boys, homeschooling, and Debbie has plenty of encouragement for Mums. And finally we hear about the amazing work that Lighthouse Care do and how it started by giving out bread from a van.

“I’ve learnt that God can use our darkest moments to do something spectacular.”

“What a privilege it is to love people who are broken and they can’t care for themselves.”

“I was so filled with joy at the privilege of serving broken people.”
Her experience changed her perception of the world.

Advice to homeschooling Mums ‘Take a break, look after yourself. The world won’t end because you have a few days off.’

“It’s the greatest legacy I leave - is our 5 boys that are men of God.”

She had a sign on her desk, “I’m raising 5 men of God for the next generation.” And that’s what inspired her every day.
