Episode 110

In this podcast, we will explore the topic of parasites - what they are, how we get them, and how to treat them.

Firstly, parasites are organisms that live on or inside another organism (the host) and derive their nutrients from the host. They come in many different shapes and sizes, ranging from microscopic bacteria and viruses to larger worms and insects. Some parasites can cause serious health problems in humans, while others may not cause any symptoms at all.

There are several ways we can get parasites, including consuming contaminated food or water, coming into contact with contaminated soil or surfaces, and having close contact with infected animals or people. In some cases, parasites can also be transmitted through insect bites.

Having good gut health is important to prevent parasites in the first place, and there are several herbs that are traditionally used for their anti-parasitic properties. **herbs should not be used as a replacement for prescribed medications without first consulting a healthcare provider.
