Hi!
I’m Karen Hall, Host of The Hero Within Podcast.
Can stress and anxiety make you physically sick? It sure can! We are all under a lot of stress and it can take its toll on us physically and emotionally!
Today I discuss what happens inside our body when we are under stress. I also reflect on this week's episodes with my good friend, Becky Belnap who dealt with a lot of stress in her life. Two of her 4 children have a rare mitochondrial disease, a genetic disorder called Leigh's Syndrome.
If you haven't heard Part 1 of Mitochondrial Miracles yet, click here and make sure to listen as Becky shares more about herself and her trials. She shares insights she has about dealing with adversity in healthy ways vs. non-healthy ways. She earned a degree in Public Health and now works for the Nexus Coalition for Drug Prevention teaching in schools.

Today, you will learn:
*How does stress affect us physiologically and emotionally.
*How the relaxation response combats the stress response.

*
How to rate your stress level.

*
The top 10 stressors.

*Healthy coping responses to stress.
*
The Lord uses breath to bring life.
*
The power of music to lift our mood.
*988
is the new Suicide Prevention and Crisis Hotline in which you can talk with someone by phone call or text message.

What healthy ways do you cope with your stress? I'd love to hear about it!
Wishing you lots of love on your own hero’s journey,
xoxo, Karen
