In our 47th episode we interviewed former long time Walt Disney animator and co-director of the summer hit Angry Birds, Clay Kaytis. Before directing Angry Birds, Clay spent almost two decades at the mouse house were he worked on many of their hits, such as Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph & Frozen. He got his break in to WDAS as an intern in the Talent Developent Program in 1994 where he animated on hand-drawn films like Pocahontas, Tarzan, and The Emperor's New Groove. After making the transition to CG on Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons, he was quickly promoted to Supervising Animator on Rhino, the beloved hamster, on the film Bolt; as well as went on to be Head of Animation on Tangled. He is also the creator of the much appreciated The Animation Podcast. It was great to sit with him and pick his brain after over 20 years in this field.
