Do you have a plan in place for the 2 different types of pushback?
- Anytime we introduce something new that creates instant pushback.
- When you’ve been living a new lifestyle and you go back and feed the old you. Something that was almost dead you gave it water/nutrients and gave it life to grow. Like a plant that was about to die you gave it new life.
The second type of pushback is where most of us spend a lot of time. How do we keep this second type of pushback from surfacing?
- We swallow our pride and stand firm on our beliefs
- We take those thoughts captive and make Them obedient to Christ.
- We don’t give those thoughts a foot hold
- We control our response
- Have a plan in place
- I’m not going to let that stuff linger
- Show some discipline and be the bigger person

What are types of pushback?
- Healthy/unhealthy lifestyle
- Quit sodas
- Quit energy drinks
- Caffeine
- Quit smoking
- Quit bad habits
How do you overcome pushback?
- Acknowledge that it is there call it out by name and grow through it instead of sitting in it daily
- Mental Toughness is built on the word of God
- Trench of Truth- the word of God on paper they are there when temptation arises.
- Stay close to God. Don’t give it a foothold!
- Find a way to do that something in a healthier way.
- Reward yourself with a healthy habit instead of feeding the old lifestyle.
- Be stronger than the desire to give in to who you used to be.
What are you going to do when you fall back into who you used to be? Have a plan in place. Set the right disciplines in place so that you can overcome the obstacles that show up daily.
