Parents, we need to remember that love is an action, not just a feeling. When we act with love to our kids, they feel loved. Just saying the words is not enough. Our actions need to speak love or our children do not feel loved. When you are yelling, demanding, controlling, and punishing, you are not acting in love with your children. All our actions need to speak love. Then our children feel loved, secure, safe, and connected to us. This is how we build healthy relationships with our children.
