I so enjoyed my conversation with Stevie Swift on this episode. We talk about being a "good" mom, social pressure, and bringing our selves and needs as women (not just moms) into our families.
Takeaway quotes:
"I think sometimes when we want to move towards respecting our kids as humans and respecting their needs, sometimes we pull away from our needs as people too, and I don't want to do that because that's really an important part of the conversation."
"I kind of eliminated that phrase “have to” from my vocabulary, and I thought instead, every time I was tempted to say “have to” I would actually think through why I was choosing to do it, because there IS always a choice."
