Think about your childhood moments around your table, think about the table you are sitting at with your family today, and let’s dive into a conversation about mealtime connections. Kathleen Ferguson has more than 30 years of experience as a speech language pathologist with an expertise in feeding and swallowing therapy. Kathleen received her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from James Madison University, and her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Virginia. She received her certification in neurodevelopmental treatment in 1987, while working at their Richmond cerebral palsy centre. She has worked at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital since 1991, and continues to provide services for the NICU, progressive care nursery, newborn nursery, PICU, and pediatric units. She has done countless modified barium swallow studies, for both adults and children, and is a specialist in cervical auscultation. Join us today, as we explore Kathleen’s work and learn more about the developments of our children, where we are doing well as parents, and where we may need to ask for some support.
