Dr. Josh Friedman, Psy.D.,CFMP, FDN-P has a multifaceted background that comes together in a way that uniquely addresses mental health concerns. Having experienced deep depression and anxiety, he quickly discovered early in his career that something was missing from traditional mental health treatment. As it turns out became fascinated by the art of healing energy in psychology - especially the ‘vitamin L’ that navigates him in finding the missing pieces of himself. Along with his doctorate in Psychology and his certification as a yoga teacher, Dr. Friedman works through a fusion of breathing techniques, nutrition, meditation and movement to address mental health at the deepest levels.

In this episode, Dr. Josh Friedman discusses his journey and the blend of both conventional and functional medicine necessary to address mental health struggles. We learn the importance of biochemical imbalances and nutritional psychology; moreover, how these areas transformed Dr. Friedman’s personal practice.
