In this episode, we'll look at why motivation doesn't work for most empaths. I'll also talk about Mel Robins' "Five Second Rule" and how we can overcome our brain's resistance to doing something we don't want to do. We constantly strive to motivate ourselves but always end up feeling like we fall short. The problem with being motivated is that it is only a temporary solution. The fact is you will never be motivated all the time even if you look at the most influential people on the planet. Avoid criticizing yourself simply because you lack motivation to do something doesn't mean you "lack' something. Even those you believe are motivated are not, I assure you. They simply know how to bypass their brain and do it anyway!
