Having felt the frustration of cost-cutting on the frontline, she chose to do an MBA in finance - seeking to better understand how mysterious financial bodies - particularly private equity firms, are creating huge problems for our ability to provide quality care.
We spoke about why she did an MBA, her advocacy, private equity, the fact that doctors don't understand the finances of medicine, and why this matters for patients.
