#060 - Imagine if you introduce yourself as a Real Estate Advisor rather than a Real Estate Salesperson. How much different would people’s impression of you be?

That’s exactly what my guest on this week’s podcast, John Hitch of Benchmark Realty in Nashville, Tennessee does. He is a Real Estate Advisor – and has been very successful at it.

John exemplifies the unsalesperson approach. He seeks to serve his clients, not sell them. He puts their interests first to create a happy, long term relationship which leads to repeat business and referrals.

Meet John Hitch
John was born in the middle TN area but grew up in central KY and returned following his graduation from Western Kentucky in 2006. After working in the television industry for 10 years, he decided to take a leap and joined a small real estate team in 2015. Since then, he has successfully grown his business 15% year over year. He took off on his own in 2017 shortly after the birth of his second daughter, and in 2020 completed 37 transactions and grossed over $10 million in sales. He was featured in the July issue of a local real estate publication. Being named a Top 10 Agent in his local Benchmark office of more than 1,300, he takes pride in how quickly he responds to his clients. In a fast moving market like Nashville, every second counts when you’re competing with multiple offers. It’s his mission to use his expertise, experience and negotiation skills to get his what they need and want in a home. At the end of the day, he as an agent and Benchmark as a company, strive to give every client 110%. When he’s not helping clients find or list their home, he enjoys spending time in Nashville with his wife and two young girls and loves to cheer on the Titans.
