On today's episode of The Remedy Revolution Podcast, we're delving into the world of regenerative ranching with special guest Doug Lindamood from Son-Rise Ranch. Their journey began in 2007 when Doug's wife, Eve, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder in her intestines. Faced with a critical decision, they chose to let "food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food." This choice marked the birth of Son-Rise Ranch.

Starting small with a few milk cows, chickens, and pigs, they discovered two significant truths. First, they found that food can heal; today, Eve is asymptomatic and on the path to complete healing. Second, they realized that the earth is abundant and bountiful, and soil is the key to sustaining, growing, and healing both lands and people.

Son-Rise Ranch has evolved into an all-natural, regenerative, non-industrial, non-chemical, non-subsidy-funded family farm. They offer grass-fed and grass-finished beef that never consumes grain, ensuring high-quality meat. Their commitment extends to raising humanely treated, antibiotic-free animals, with pork and chicken being organic-fed without soy or GMOs. Their animals are even fed raw milk from their cows, resulting in a unique and rich flavor.

What's truly remarkable is their holistic planned grazing methods, ensuring their ruminant animals have access to the freshest, rapidly growing green grass while enriching the land and surrounding environment.

Moreover, they've calculated that it takes just 1.78 calories of petroleum to produce a single calorie of beef or pork from their ranch, in stark contrast to the 9 calories needed in conventional, corn-fed, industrial systems.

Beyond their ranch, Son-Rise Ranch encourages patrons to become involved in their local agriculture community, seek knowledge about proper farming and ranching techniques, and know their local farmers. This empowers individuals to break free from the chemical-industrial-government complex that poisons our food, bodies, and ecosystems.

In alignment with their principles, they feed only organic feeds and use no pesticides, advocating for small farming and regenerative agriculture. Son-Rise Ranch's story is one of sustainability and healing through food, providing an inspiring example of the impact we can make by choosing a regenerative path.
