Abel-James

If you’re an avid reader of ours, you know that I used to be 60 pounds heavier. In fact, when I shared my before and after pictures here, I had several friends ask if that was really me (it is). When I first started this health journey, I just wanted to get rid of my gas and bloating. But as soon as that pain was gone, I started to focus on total health including losing all my extra fat, skin issues and brain problems.

One struggle I had that I don’t talk about nearly enough is my relationship with food. I grew up in a “sweets” house and ended up developing a toxic overeating and stress eating problem. I’ve had to re-establish my relationship with food and work at it from several angles.

It’s really easy to begin to hate food when it causes you digestive pain or doesn’t make you happy like it used to. That’s why I think it’s always a good idea to honor our relationship with food and how it impacts our weight and health. In today’s podcast I dive into this for a bit. But for the rest of it, Abel James, from fatburningman.com, shares some awesome insights about fat loss and how the model industry tricks us into creating fake body image goals.

I met Abel a few months ago and we clicked on quite a few topics. And for good reason. He’s one of the most sought after people in the fat loss industry and it just so happens to be that he has the #1 rated health podcast in iTunes.

If you’re looking to lose fat and curious about your relationship to your body and food, then this podcast is for you.

On This Podcast with Abel, We Cover:

0:55 His fat loss story and his #1 Rated Fat-Burning Man Show
4:05 The Wild Diet and where it fits in with other diets
7:20 His relationship with food
10:45 His philosophy on getting people to lose fat
14:39 His thoughts on the exercise/activity component of having a great body
19:40 Sneaky model tricks and our definition of what we want our body to be like
24:04 Healthy tips and tricks for losing fat
27:31 His new book deal and for more go to his website here

I can’t thank Abel enough for taking the time out of his busy life to stop by our show. And it’s such a joy to be able to share our talk with all of you!
