skin-hair-health-lizCleaning a dirty mirror is so gratifying.

Stepping back to admire your work, you see it…

The ONE spot that is always missed.

Our brains are wired to focus on that which sticks out. Like the one small scratch on an otherwise new car. Or the one zit on a face. And it’s almost impossible to look away once you see it.

Why isn’t clear skin and great hair easier to achieve? I’ve been asking this question for the last 14 years. Luckily, at this moment my skin is the best it’s looked in forever. I believe 80% of this is a great diet, supplements, eliminating GI pathogens, and correcting hormone dysregulation. But I’m still not quite there yet.

Your Skin Is An External Reflection of Internal Health

I believe our skin is one of many intermediate markers for general health. Hair is another, and so are nails. If these parts of our bodies are showing signs of ill health you can bet there is a deeper root cause.

Just like that one spot on a mirror is annoying, one zit is all it takes for me to be annoyed. So, I’m still searching for the last 20% of skin health. Recently, I’ve made some changes at the recommendation of today’s podcast guest that have really helped.

Liz Wolfe from cavegirleats.com used to struggle with cystic acne like myself.

After overcoming these skin issues, she’s assembled the best product for holistic skin care I’ve seen. It’s called the skintervention guide. And I’m a HUGE fan of the guide. It completely changed my topical skin routine and I started to see positive changes within 2 weeks. It has my full endorsement and it’s about 98% SCD compliant. And it’s been a huge part of figuring out the last 20% of skin health for me.

In short, if you’re still struggling with skin and hair issues it could be the best investment you make (This is not an affiliate link – it’s just that good… click here).

4:40 Liz’s struggle with acne breakouts and conventional treatments

11:02 Why eczema is a subtle clue that shouldn’t be ignored
14:38 The brutally honest truth about “perfect skin”
22:02 The toxic ingredients hiding in your skin products
29:20 A cheap, non-toxic toner recipe to soothe your skin and correct skin pH
36:01 The sneaky truth about hair products (how they zero out your natural hair)
38:03 Liz share’s her step-by-step, super cheap hair care ritual
45:10 It all starts with digestion, Liz’s tips for better stomach acid

Thanks for listening and I highly encourage you to check out Liz’s website for more free tips on skin care and holistic health.
