In this week's episode of The Scarecrow Runner podcast I had the privilege to sit down and chat with Brian Rosser who also manages Rosser Runs here on YouTube. It was a joy to just banter back and forth about ultra running and the sense of adventure. Check out his YouTube at Rosser Runs. Brian shares a lot about his background as we dig into his past where he enlisted in the service as a combat life saver after the events of 9/11, his battle with alcoholism and how he chose to dig himself out of very dark places and embraced running which then led to ultra running. That is something that saved his life and challenges him daily. Brian has learned to find the beauty and adventure in running and no longer is a slave to the watch and logging specific time and distance, but rather focuses on the beauty in the moment. As he mentions, mileage is just a number and he doesn't get wrapped up in those details any longer.
