Hello 2021 and welcome to the new format and new look. As many of you may or may not know, Running For Distance is the new look, name and brand for this podcast going forward. I felt like it is a good touch for what I want to cover in these weekly podcasts. Whether we are running 1 mile, 50 miles or 100 miles, we are always running for some kind of distance and that is also true in life.

In this first episode of 2021, I sit down with my former roommate and collegiate teammate, Wade Hoss. Wade and I ran college cross country together at Allen County Community College and have stayed in touch ever since. We discuss Wade's early passion of running and how life and the fire that once drove his competitiveness died out and he lost the desire to run.

We discuss the journey he has made over the years and the spark that has reignited his desire to begin running again. Not only do we cover running, but we also touch on some Chiefs football, life and philosophy, Wade's hobby of cooking and hunting and a little of everything in between.

I think you will find this episode fun and inspiring.
