If you write down one single thing coming out of a doctor's apt for your baby, I bet I can guess what it is. WHERE THEY ARE ON THE GROWTH CHART. I can think of nothing that gives parents more stress, anxiety (and sometimes bragging rights) than that freakin' chart! And for the most part, you should be feeling none of these things (I know, I'm sorry. But baby Hunter being in the 95% percentile for height at his 2 month apt does not in fact mean he is destined for the NBA).

So what were growth charts created to do? What do we use them for instead? And why should parents stop freaking the F out about every jump, leap and dip in their baby's chart? Luckily, I'm here to tell you. I have read the history, the studies, discussed with credible physicians, and am here to help. I hope you walk away from this episode feeling empowered about your child's health, and much less panicked about their head circumference at next week's well baby visit ;)
