Trigger warning: We discuss trauma, mental health issues & race in this episode.

I have been wanting to speak to Tamu on this podcast for a hot minute and this week it happened! Tamu’s work is informed by her background of sixteen years in social work, somatic coach training, her love of behavioural neuroscience and polyvagal theory, positive psychology, spirituality and joy. Tamu combines these modalities to create a multifaceted body of work that helps her clients begin to tend to their needs, feel safe in their bodies, befriend themselves and begin to enjoy who they are.

Key Points from the interview:

  • How trauma can be alchemised into fertilizer that supports your growth.
  • How many are only getting "bar snacks" of growth rather than the "full nutrition-rich version"!
  • How "Super Positive" messages are not always what they seem and how to discern.
  • The Truth of Trust, and how to access it.
