As Christians, we sometimes focus all of our attention on the New Testament given that Christ is explicitly revealed there. This one-sided approach to the Sacred Scripture does us a great disservice. St. Augustine, a north African Church Father, informs us that the New Testament is hidden in the Old and the Old Testament is revealed in the New. All of the written word of God testifies to the Word of God, Christ Jesus. This vodcast will cover typology which is an excellent way of keeping the Old and New Testaments united when interpreting the Bible. Specifically, Isaac ,as a “type” of Christ, will be explored.
