Poet and Playwright Crystal Smith shares some poems and talked about her play, "Saving Mother," part of the Van Fringe 2016: Generation HOT performance series created during a six-month mentorship program for youth/emerging artists 17-24 exploring necessary stories in this time of climate change. She draws connections between colonialism, violence against indigenous women, and how we treat the earth.
