With Covid more or less shutting most hospitals down it meant that all the regular patients who went to the ED were forced to wait longer to see a Doctor. This meant many systems were having Medic units sit on patients (No, as MC learns, not *actually* sit on patients) for hours, sometimes an entire shift.

As part of the plan to alleviate this burden, the State sought contract Paramedics to come to local hospitals and watch patients until they got a bed and a nurse. This means Medic units can transfer care to Jonathan and go back in service.
This week we ponder:

  • Jonathan's top 3 tips when considering contract travel work
  • How to avoid ruining relationships with co-workers and regular staff
  • Why paying special attention to the terms of the contract is so important
  • That taking your Girlfriend to Disneyland while waiting for a contract to go through can be rewarding
